Martin 3K Soprano 2010

Aloha,
Here is a new Martin 3K Soprano ukulele. This is one of the nicest 3K that I have come across over the years. Martin is known for great quality and tone. This ukulele is no exception. I was particularly impressed with the even curl that is consistent on the front, back, and sides. This instrument is all solid Hawaiian Koa, with a mahogany neck. Ebony fingerboard. Koa faceplate and bridge. Nitro satin finish. Friction tuners. Custom TKL hardshell case. B/W/B/W/B/W/B purfling on the top, back, and down the fingerboard. Ivoroid binding on the top and back. Abalone snowflake position markers. Ivoroid "moustache" inlay at the base of the soundboard.
This is a very pretty ukulele. It is currently available at Ukulele Puapua. Please email for pricing. Thanks for looking.

Aloha,
Yesterday was I love Ukulele day at the DFS Waikiki. Bruce and Brian played a
very nice set for the crowd, and workshops were conducted to introduce newcomers to
the joys of the ukulele. It was a great day, and I think that everyone enjoyed the experience.
Thanks to all that were involved and participated including Bruce, Brian, Jake, Jody, Chris, the Ukulele Hale students, and Ukulele Puapua.

UGH VINTAGE UKULELE DISPLAY

Aloha,
These are the vintage ukuleles that were exhibited at the UGH Exhibition last week at the Blaisdell Center. These instruments are all at least 50 years old, and most are much older. They are all in nice condition, some of them are in excellent condition. This collection would be extremely difficult to put together nowadays. There are also a couple of machetes in there. These were the precursors to the ukulele. Build by original immigrants from Maderia off of the coast of Portugal, these 5 string concert-tenor sized instruments are very, very rare. Thanks to everyone that participated in the event for making it such a fun and positive experience. This collection of vintage ukuleles was the cherry on top.

Tyler
