Aloha, Here is a Concert Deluxe model ukulele from the Santa Cruz Guitar Co. in Santa Cruz CA. This body of this instrument is made out of curly Hawaiian Koa. The neck is mahogany, and the fingerboard and bridge are ebony. Abalone purfling and rosette. M.O.P. logo, and position markers. ivoroid binding on the body and fingerboard, as well as on the heel cap. Santa Cruz is of the premier boutique guitar builders. They make a very small quantity of ukuleles, and we have waited patiently to get our first order. This instrument has a very round and full tone. The playability is also very good. I like the feel of the neck and the fingerboard. Balance and intonation are also very good. If you are a collector, this would be something to consider adding to the inventory. Mahalo.
This is such a beautiful insturment. I played this one, as well as the Mahogany concert at my local shop here in Phoenix today and fell in LOVE. Unfortunatley it is a bit out of price range. Best uke I have ever played though, hands down. Blew the Kanile'a and KoAloha's that I played, OUT OF THE WATER!! Great uke!
